Brownies are girls aged seven to ten. Brownies opens up a world of exciting challenges and the opportunity to try new things and to make brilliant friends.
In Brownies the girls become a member of a six, a unit with a name such as Badger, Fox, Mole or Rabbit and through regular meetings, special events, day trips, sleepovers, camps and holidays, Brownies learn new hobbies, play music, explore other cultures and get adventurous outdoors. The programme for Brownies has recently gone through some major changes - see below for an overview.
There are several BGO Singapore Brownie units and we are growing all the time! Our meetings are run like a Brownie unit in the UK, and we make the same Promise and earn the same badges - we even wear the same uniform!

INTEREST BADGES - for girls to explore their own hobbies and passions outside of the unit meetings
UNIT MEETING ACTIVITIES (UMA's) - fun activities done in the unit meetings
SKILLS BUILDERS - designed to develop core skills in each of the themes, done during unit meetings
THEME AWARDS - a combination of UMA's (180 minutes worth for Rainbows), Interest badges and Skills Builders within the same theme
GOLD AWARD - 6 theme awards plus the Gold Challenge activities
