BGIFC Singapore was the proud recipient of a Tanglin Heroes Award, presented by Tanglin Trust School, at a lavish reception at Eden Hall, in the presence of HE Antony Phillipson. Wessex Brownies were joined by SJII Brownies for a Girl Power Camp this weekend at Sembawang. 70 Brownies headed to the North of the Island to pitch tents, cook, build camp fires, toast Smores, BBQ sausages, enjoy lots of activities, and learn about inspirational women and how they have contributed to society today. BGIFC Singapore Rainbows had a great day out visiting the Brownies at their Girl Power Camp. While the Brownies stayed calm with girl power, the Rainbows sparkled! We met the Brownies, who told us about their camp and all of the jobs and fun things they had done so far. Then we got to play some team games with them and had a tasty girl power cupcake too! 9th Singapore Brownies wrote : On Wednesday 28th January our trainee leader Viv and 15 of our girls took their Promise in front of their parents at the 9th Singapore Brownies' first Promise ceremony. Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Senior Section across the BGIFC SIngapore District have been celebrating Thinking Day (February 22nd) with different activities. Some units polished coins (with various substances like brasso, ketchup, baking soda) before donating them to the Thinking Day fund, to help grow and develop Guiding around the world.
